How I can last in a line no limit poker tournament?
against five or six opponents, I can do very well, and hand to hand i consider myself very strong – but how can i last longer than 200 or 2000, even opponents, many of which raise all constantly? I often last longer time better than 50% of new Tourny, but I think I get complacent and start to hang with mediocre hands too often, just to keep my interest up. Did I just answer my own question? What do the experts say to do to get money, or better yet, end tables? they are the best books you recommend about the topic of Internet Texas hold 'em tournament play? (I also like playing 5-Card Draw and 7-Card Stud).
To answer to your question first book … Harrington on Hold 'em by Dan Harrington is a great resource. It seems that Volume 2 has the information you are looking … but volume 1 is a good read too. The huge online Mulit table tournament is always carry a little luck … you have to take some risks early to build your stack. But they are taking so do not just hang around until the blinds eat you. Online poker shares many features with live poker. A key example: Patience is king. From the beginning, if you come across a huge pile .. now has the ability to be patient and wait for some hands, and see flops cheaps limping in. .. but if the blinds are getting high, can not afford to wait around kings or aces … going to have to press with some hands that might not want.
